US-Haiti Relations Town Hall Meeting
The Justice for Haiti Initiative will shed light on the current political and economic situation between the United States and Haiti at a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, at the UN Conference Facility (1225 Connecticut Ave. NW, 4th floor). Join the open discussion on the historical context of the US embargo against Haiti and increased US intervention in the country; the humanitarian achievements of Haiti in the face of the US embargo; and the upcoming fact-finding mission to Haiti by US citizens to investigate US involvement in the ousting of President Jean Bertrand Aristide.
