Jobs With Justice

Everyone is invited to the Third Annual "I'll Be There" Awards, a fundraiser for DC Jobs with Justice. The group will be honoring the following people and organizations for their commitment to solidarity, and for building bridges between labor and the community:

* Terry Lynch, director, Downtown Cluster of Congregations, and chair, DC Workers' Rights Board
* DC Employment Justice Center, co-founders Judith Conti and Kerry O'Brien
* Georgetown Solidarity Committee, leaders in the Georgetown Living Wage campaign
* UNITE HERE Local 25

The event will be on Thursday, July 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the AFL-CIO National Headquarters (815 16th St. NW). Appetizers, beer and wine will be provided.
